TEST GONE WRONG
Mark has been seeing Mary for awhile now, they first met when they were still teenagers in highschool symposiums, its been 12 years since then. Their parents had even suggested they should get married as soon as possible, but they were both reluctant saying it was still early to commit to a long term relationship.
Time had come, they both come to a consensus to get married since both of them had stable jobs, they both now want to raise a family of their own. They agreed that before they formalise their engagement they should visit a physician for general testing an checkups, they both ceremoniously visited the Drobe Hospice where there blood were drawn amd testing commenced. Since various testing were to be done they were adviced to come for the test results after 3 hours which they obliged and left to Huruma Mall for some photoshoot session. They were the kind of couple you only get to see in Weeding shows in local and international television stations.
Three hour later, Mark received a call from the Hospice nurse informing him that their test results were ready for pickup. They ceremoniously made thier way back to the hospice where they we ushered in to the doctors office. Doctor began by interpreting Mary's test results which were seamlessly okay except for some manageable high blood pressure, shockingly Mark's test results tested positive on HIV/AIDS, both Mark and Mary were shocked beyond believe. Mary face had turned black furious and feeling cheated, she wanted to burst out of the office with anger but the doctor comforted her with words of hope. One thing was very clear, Mary was not ready to proceed with this kind of relationship despite being advised by the doctor on ways to live happily with an infected person without her contracting the virus.
Life had thrown Mark into a corner of hopelessness, he felt very worthless and small not knowing where to start since he had not been unfaithful to his relationship with Mary. On the other hand Mary felt very sorry for her poor boyfriend, few days went by and Mary decided to move out in the name of wanting some space to think through. Mark gave her the space she wanted and in no time Mary had cut all communications with Mark which weighed on Mark alot, one could easily notice some changes in him both physically amd emotionally.
In few months time Mary had already moves on, she was dating her previous male friend who had been their visitor while still with Mark for awhile. Mark decide to go for another testing to ascertain if indeed he's HIV positive, he visited St. Jude Private Hospital tests were performed and in few minutes his test results were out, Mark couldn't believe when his test results showed negative. He asked the nurse to repeat the procedure which showed negative once again, he then bought self testing kits and went straight home where he tested 5 time which all turned negative.
The following day Mark decided to visit a public hospital for the same testing, at the back of his mind he had a notion that private hospital equipments might have been faulty. Test were done and results turned negative a smile of hope was all that could be seen in his face. He later on called Mary with his friends phone to give her the good news, Mary answered the phone and on realising its Mark she arrogantly disconnected the line.
Mark then sent her a text message saying the test results they had gotten were false, he told her he had tested negative on his subsequent tests. Mary didn't believe him and texted back "Pambana na hali yako, mimi hutaniletea ukedi!", Mark bled from the inside, he even cried before he was calmed by his friend. Mary later called Mark's friend to ascertain the the claim and on realising that Mark was not bluffing, she told his friend to apologies on her behalf.
After a while Mary got pregnant and started complaining of nausea, headache, stomachache, backache and other sorts of illnesses. At first it seemed normal but as time went by it became a serious concern, they visited various doctors. Later that day test results come out, it was very unfortunate for her as the test results showed that she had tested positive on HIV. Mary's world came down tumbling on her, the bitter medicine she had prepared for Mark became hers to swallow. The test results issued at Drobe Hospice had been mistakenly interchanged.
Mary later admitted to Mark that she was unfaithful to him when they were engaged, she had cheated on him with his current boyfriend. Mark forgave her and promised to take care of her as a friend since she had made her choice. Mark fell in love with another lady and later on got married, today Mary has been in and out of hospital for various reasons, while Mark has been paying her visits.
